We support people with different services for when they need us - offering different homes that meet different needs - including ones for affordable rent, Shared Ownership, people aged 55 and over, supported housing and homes for sale. We offer everything from entry level to higher level qualifications, arts and wellbeing courses through to employability support to help people fulfil their potential through our community enterprise’s Riverside Training and CLIP. Our accommodation services for students give people a safe home away from home which offers a safe affordable room with on-site wellbeing, support and events to help them thrive

Within Education and Skills (which includes CLIP, Riverside Training and Acis Students) we are Matrix accredited, Ofsted Grade 2 and accredited with the National Code and SNUG. We deliver services for the Department for Work and Pensions, Department for Education, ESFA, NHS and many local authorities. We also deliver community projects for Children in Need, The National Lottery, Shine and more.

Your role is all about promoting wellbeing, supporting our customers and our communities to live happier, healthier lifestyles, building resilience and reducing the need to access statutory services. You’ll bepassionate about helping people through the delivery of engaging, supportive and innovative activities within the heart of our wellbeing hubs and communities.

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS 22.5 HOURS PER WEEK. 

As a Community Connector, a typical day might include:

Providing holistic support for our customers, offering them the opportunity to explore different areas of life that might be impacting on their mental health and wellbeing, including their mental and physical health, relationships, education and employment, accommodation and finance. Develop community-led events and activities to engage and connect key

communities and partners to projects, making best use of the available community assets and driving peer support for community groups and community leaders.

Support de-escalation and 'step down' from the 24/7 Lincolnshire mental health helpline and embed pathways to support escalation up for support. Identify and establish linkages with key community leaders and individuals, to identify solutions, build skills, community activities and facilitate new connections. Build on the increased levels of social action and the willingness for people to support their communities. Ensure support reaches out to vulnerable, deprived and isolated members of society and identify ways to enhance access and reduce barriers. Building on existing assets and identify new alternative solutions to 'crisis' provision that would be deemed appropriate for low level support, enabling people to access a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment, promoting independence, opportunity and recovery for all. Help to facilitate grass roots problem solving and take an asset-based approach to building and connecting communities together to become stronger and resilient.  Reconnect people with their communities, understanding not only what communities provide but how to make the best use of community assets. Listen to the local community, uncover what is important and what will lead to the greatest impact for a community and local services. Deliver engaging and supportive activities in line with the NHS Five Steps to Wellbeing, providing people the support they need and ensures we foster strong long-term relationships with other local support provision to deliver on target and to wider strategic objectives. Refer customers into wider CLIP service offers and those of local support partners to provide a truly holistic and personalised package of support that meets customer needs. Support the involvement of people with lived experience of mental health and our support partners in the design, delivery and monitoring of support and activities. Proactively engaging and representing CLIP through attendance at networks, conferences and events. Build community provision for people with mental health issues, creating positive partnerships, mapping assets and identifying gaps in provision With the support from the Wellbeing Delivery Coordinator, deliver and grow our support offer and activities within our Wellbeing Hub and across our identified satellite centres including Market Rasen. Provide support and activities for people to achieve better mental health and wellbeing, increasing independence and reducing reliance on statutory services. Build on existing community assets, making the best use of existing resources, and identify new alternative solutions to 'crisis' provision that would be deemed appropriate for low level support. Support the building of multi-agency teams of people working or living in specific areas from across the public, private, voluntary and community sectors and faith groups. There will be some teaching hours expected from this role.

The must haves:

A willingness and ability to deliver a range of courses beyond your primary area of expertise with an enthusiasm to develop your skills to adapt our delivery to the needs of our learners. Outcome star training undertaken. Qualification in Mentoring, Advice and Guidance or similar, or a mental health qualification. Are comfortable with, and can deliver, both 1-2-1 and group sessions in their role.L3 Award in Education and Training (formerly PTLLS) or Teaching qualification, and/or willingness to undergo further training.  Experience of professionally engaging with adults and children. A genuine commitment to supporting people to thrive and achieve, overcoming barriers faced because of mental ill health. Ability to work as a team, under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. A good understanding of the barriers faced by inactive people, and the solutions that may be able to benefit them. Ability to work collaboratively with others, whether in the same team or external support providers. You’re a positive, energised and enthusiastic person, with a real zest for helping others.
