SZC is a Nuclear New Buildproject where when completed, will provide low carbon electricityfor 6 million homes for 60 years in the UK. The SZC project hasobtained planning approval and is seeking financing with a view tostart construction in 2024. The role of the Supply Chain functionis to support the Projects Programme Delivery teams providing thehighest standards of Commercial Management. A role currently existsfor a Commercial Manager, Supplier Performance and RelationshipManagement. This will entail working across the Supply Chainfunction to support the management and implementation and continuedassurance of the Supplier Relationship Management strategy acrossSizewell’s C’s strategic and critical supply base. If you haverelevant experience in the facilitation of supplier managementplanning, implementation and improvement then this may be the rolefor you. Candidates should ideally have previous experience in thisarea and could come from within other business management sectorssuch as Aerospace, Power Generation, Manufacturing or other largeinfrastructure projects who are looking to develop their careers.Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid workingapproach between our offices and your home. What you’ll be doing... •Delivering a consistent and documented approach to SupplierRelationship Management that can be applied across all worksprogrammes for the Sizewell C project. • Assuring the integrity ofthe business strategy to Supplier Relationship Management is beingmaintained and that it takes into account best practice andlearning from other projects and the wider nuclear business. •Ensuring performance of our Strategic and Critical suppliers iseffectively measured, managed, and optimised accordingly throughthe use of KPI Dashboards and improvement plans. • Establishing andmaintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholdersacross the Projects Commercial, Delivery and Engineering teams. •Providing subject matter support and advise to the Commercial teamsresponsible for Supplier Relationship Management planning,implementation, and management. • Ensuring the criteria to meetbusiness acceptance standards for Supplier Relationship managementis monitored and upheld. • Providing regular assessment andassurance on all areas within Supplier Relationship Management suchas key performance measure & analysis and continuousimprovement for a consistent application as designed. Who youare... You are an individual who has ideally been operating in aCommercial / Supplier Manager role for at least 3 to 5 years with aspecific emphasis on supplier performance oversight, planning,implementation and continuous improvement. You’ll be motivated, aself-starter and have pragmatic abilities and the ‘soft’ skills towork with internal Stakeholders, multiple disciplined teams and thesupply base to drive successful delivery and adherence to SupplierRelationship Management. This role will be contractually based at 25 Copthall Avenue.However, depending on the date of the move there may be a periodthat you will be required to work temporarily from our existingoffice at 90 Whitfield Street.
