Shift Options: Permanent Days OR Permanent Early/Late Shift Rotation OR Permanent Late Shift

Due to continued growth, they are currently recruiting a permanent CNC Turners (Programmer / Setter Operator), (Fanuc / Mazatrol (Primarily Fanuc). Machining centres include: Doosan Puma TT with sub spindle & twin turret / Doosan Puma SY with sub spindle / Doosan Lynx with Tailstock / Mazak Quickturn Sub Spindle

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • CNC Turning / Machine Programming / Setting and Operating

  • Turning range from 4mm up to 400mm diameter

  • Cutting a wide range of materials, from plastics through to aluminium and stainless steel

  • Carrying out recorded inspection documents when required

  • General housekeeping duties

  • Use of handheld precision measuring equipment

    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar CNC turning, Programming (in Fanuc) and Setting / Operating role

  • Understanding of tolerances, geometric tolerances & surface finish requirements

  • Familiar with the selection of correct turning inserts and grades

  • Able to Interpret drawings & tolerances in metric and imperial sizes

  • Must possess Fanuc programming experience

  • Able to use all handheld precision measuring equipment

  • Organised and able to work to deadlines

  • Self-motivated, reliable and punctual team player

    USEFUL BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

  • Mazak programming experience

  • CMM experience – operating/using

  • Offline programming using CAD/CAM software

  • Use of live tooling and multi axis machining

    DETAILS OF PACKAGE

    Permanent Days OR Permanent Early/Late Shift Rotation OR Permanent Late Shift (Basic 39 Hour Week) + Overtime @ T+1/2

  • Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00:600 to 13:00 (39 Hour Week). From £36,500 (£18PH) to £42,600 PA (£21PH) Depending on experience + Overtime

  • Late Shift: Monday to Thursday 14:00 to 24:00 (39 Hour Week) From £43,800PA (£21.60PH) to £51,000PA (£25.20PH) Depending on experience + Overtime

  • Early/Late: Shift Rotation: (2 weeks on Early Shift) 06:00 to 14:00 Monday to Friday /2 weeks on Late Shift Monday to Thursday 14:00 to 24:00 + Overtime. From £40,15PA0 (£19.50PH) to £46,800PA (£23.00PH) Depending on experience + Overtime

  • Holidays – 33 days including bank holidays / Pension – paid at 4% / Secure On-site car parking

  • Company staff days out / Fuel allowance for people travelling 40+miles daily round trip
