Our client, an established engineering business in Leighton Buzzard, is currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner due to expansion.

The company is known for producing high-precision, low-volume tubular and threaded components, serving a number of industries including aerospace, defence.

CNC Turner Job Overview

Program, set, and operate 2-axis turning machines with proven expertise.
Write new CNC programs directly at the machine with minimal supervision.
Utilize Manual Guide i software and G-code programming.
Edit prewritten programs and handle full machine setup, including materials, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
Per form in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
Produce one-off and low-to-medium volume precision parts in both hard and soft metals.
Work with parts up to ¢300mm x 3m in length using provided lifting equipment (hoist training available).
Interpret complex engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
Maintain high standards of quality and precision, meeting strict specifications. CNC Turner Job Requirements

Significant experience in a machine shop environment, programming 2-axis CNC machines.
Familiarity with Fanuc controls (experience with Combi 210i-T is advantageous).
Expertise in Manual Guide i software and G-code programming.
Experience with threading, screw-cutting, and TIR 4-jaw work.
Ability to work to tolerances of 1 thou over distances up to 0.5m.
Exposure to a range of materials, including exotic metals.
Experience with large components and resolving associated challenges. CNC Turner Salary & Benefits

Salary:
Base: £34,000 - £36,000 per annum
With shift allowance (paid at time and a third): £45,000 - £48,000 per annum
Hours
Day Shift: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm / Friday: 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
Late Shift: Monday to Wednesday: 4:30 pm - 3:30 am / Thursday: 4:30 pm - 1:30 am
Holidays are 20 days + 8 Bank Holidays + Bonus holiday over the Christmas Period
