Job Title: CNC & Manual Turner – Aerospace Components
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £37,570.65 per year (includes shift premium)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Shifts: Weekly rotation between mornings and afternoons

If you know your way around a lathe and take pride in doing things right, this could be a strong next move.

We're working with a well-established aerospace manufacturer in Sheffield who are growing their team. This is skilled work on high-spec parts where precision and finish matter. The machines are solid, the work is steady, and there's a real sense of pride in getting things done properly.

You'll be using both CNC and manual lathes to turn components made from exotic materials. It's a role that needs a bit of care, attention and confidence behind the controls. If you're someone who likes knowing their work actually matters, this is worth a look.

What you'll be doing: Running and setting up a mix of CNC and manual turning machines.
Working on parts made from aerospace-grade materials.
Following detailed drawings and route cards to machine parts to spec.
Carrying out your own checks with verniers, micrometers and gauges.
Keeping your workspace clean and machines in good working order.
Logging completed work and raising any issues as needed.
Working alongside the wider team to keep things moving.
What we're looking for : Experience across both CNC and manual turning.
Confident reading technical drawings and working to spec.
Used to working in high-precision or aerospace environments.
Comfortable with manual inspection tools and following SOPs.
Someone who's steady, focused and works well with others.
Knowledge of lean principles like 5S would be useful.
