We are recruiting for a CNC Supervisor for a Precision Engineering business supplying into the Aerospace and sub-con markets. Due to increase of orders across their biggest customers as well as large investment throughout the business to maximise capacity, the growing business is looking to add a CNC Programmer/Setter with Supervisory experience.

What does it involve?

The company is looking for an experienced CNC Supervisor who has experience working within a fast-paced Sub-Contract Machine Shop to machine parts on their 3, 4 and 5 axis machinery. Looking after a small team of CNC Setters and Operators to maximise capacity and decrease downtime within the machining cell. Heidenhain experience is essential.

What’s needed for me to be considered?

  • Experienced CNC Miller – skilled Programming/Setter/Operator.

  • Competent with Heidenhain controls (Essential)

  • Offline Programming (Edgecam software, other CAD/CAM packages considered)

  • Creating and editing programs online & offline for 5, 4 & 3 axis.

  • Proven background of leading a team within a machining role.

  • Reading of technical drawings with both metric and imperial measurements.

  • Understand of GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)

  • Previous experience in a sub-contract machine shop environment.

  • Use of metrology tools - Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Gauges etc.
