We’re hiring for a CNC Programmer to join a leading precision engineering firm at their state-of-the-art facility in Stockport, Greater Manchester. This is a senior-level position ideal for someone with a strong background in CNC turning and offline programming, looking to take ownership of complex projects across industries such as aerospace and automotive.

What’s on offer?

  • £43,000 - £46,000 per annum

  • Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:30pm / Friday 12:30pm finish (flexible)

  • Overtime available at enhanced rates

  • 6 weeks holiday (excluding bank holidays)

    What will you be doing as a CNC Programmer?

  • Programming and setting CNC lathes (Fanuc / Mazatrol) for precision manufacturing

  • Creating and editing CNC programs offline for complex components

  • Interpreting technical drawings and engineering specifications

  • Leading production engineering activities to optimise machining performance and cycle times

  • Collaborating with design, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturing efficiency

  • Conducting first-off inspections and ensuring quality standards are met

    What do you need?

  • Strong experience in CNC turning, with programming knowledge of Fanuc and Mazatrol controls

  • Proven background in offline programming using relevant CAD/CAM software

  • Experience working within a production engineering or tooling environment

  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings with high attention to detail

  • Experience working with a variety of metals including aluminium, mild steel, and stainless steel
