We need a CNC Machine Operator for a company based in Basildon, which specialises in precision component manufacturing for the aerospace industry. On-site parking, working days Monday to Friday,

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for producing products in accordance with design specifications and quality standards. You will need experience in working to high-quality standards on precision components.

  • £21.58 PH (includes shift allowance)

    Shift Schedule "one week on, one week off" shift schedule with early and late rotations

  • Early Shift: (includes a 20% shift allowance):

    • Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM

    • Friday: 6:00 AM to 1:30 PM

  • Late Shift (includes a 20% shift allowance):

    • Monday to Thursday: 1:45 PM to 9:45 PM

    • Friday: 1:15 PM to 8:45 PM

      Overtime rate
      Time & A Quarter (Monday – Friday)
      Time & A Half (Saturday)
      Double Time (Sunday)

      CNC Machine Operator Key Responsibilities:
      • Loading materials and unloading finished products
      • Cut, grind or drill materials in machine as required – adjusting speeds, cutter paths and other machine settings as required
      • Carefully following procedures and safety guidelines. Including company procedures, operating standards, and process documentation
      • Maintaining an accurate log of production and equipment problems, adjustments, and repairs. Machine inspections for mechanical or safety issues
      • Ensures machines are well stocked with tools and material to ensure limited downtime
      • Safety focus to ensure themselves and others are safe around operational machinery
      • Flexibility to support production requirements during busier periods
      • Works appropriately with Teams Members

      CNC Machine Operator Qualifications & Experience:
      • Ability to read technical drawings
      • Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components
      • Knowledge of safety and manufacturing regulations and procedures
