CNC Machine Operator
4-day working week (Mon-Thu)
 
We are seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join a precision engineering team in Manchester.
 
The Company
A reputable aerospace organisation known for excellence in precision engineering and manufacturing. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality components to various aerospace clients, maintaining a strong commitment to quality and innovation.
 
The Role
As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for machining detailed, high-tolerance components. This includes setting up and operating CNC 3 & 5 Axis machining centres, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC 3 & 5 Axis machining centres with precision.
Utilise appropriate measuring equipment for accurate component production.
Interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions effectively.
Maintain material integrity, work in progress, and equipment.
Accurately record material usage against work orders.
Conduct post-production tasks, including returning tools and materials.
Comply with ISO 9001 and AS9100 manufacturing standards. 
The Individual
 We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

Proficient in setting and operating Mazak VariAxis i500 and/or Mazak VTC800 5 Axis machining centres.
Solid understanding of CNC Machine controls (Mazak Matrix2, Mazak Smooth X, Siemens D840).
Familiarity with material properties (Steels, Aluminium, and Alloys).
Experience with Autodesk/Delcam Power Mill programming is a plus.
