JOB- CFD Engineer

LOCATION- Watford

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £35,000 to £45,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is seeking a CFD Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in Watford. This role involves conducting computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to support the design and development of various products and systems.

The CFD Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in CFD analysis and fluid dynamics simulations
• Proficiency in CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, or similar
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and aerodynamics
• Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
• Ability to perform mesh generation and post-processing of simulation results
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

The CFD Engineer role will involve:

• Performing CFD simulations to analyse fluid flow, heat transfer, and aerodynamics
• Working with design engineers to optimise product performance based on simulation results
• Developing and refining simulation models to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Conducting validation and correlation studies with experimental data
• Generating reports and presenting findings to internal teams and clients
• Assisting in the development of new methodologies and best practices for CFD analysis
• Managing multiple projects while ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
