TARCG is working with one of the UK’s fastest-growing manufacturers of passenger seats for commercial airlines worldwide. This is a permanent role based in Northampton


The Role:

The Buyer will be responsible for managing the day-to-day order book, ensuring the timely delivery of materials, and maintaining supplier relationships. This role requires an individual who can effectively manage procurement operations, mitigate risks, and contribute to supply chain efficiency in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise MRP/ERP data to place accurate and timely purchase orders.
  • Take ownership of part pricing and supplier confirmations.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, supporting business objectives.
  • Ensure suppliers meet a 96%+ OTIF delivery rate, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage inventory levels, reducing excess and obsolete stock.
  • Collaborate across departments to support material forecasting and


Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and procurement processes.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to decision-making.
  • Adaptability to changing business needs and challenges.
  • Process-driven mindset with procurement best practices experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.


Desirable:

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing procurement or supply planning.
  • Background in project purchasing and supplier management.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
