Business Development Manager - North UK - Defence & Aerospace Business Developer / Sales Development Representative
Salary up to £55,000 + Car Allowance & Bonus
Do you have experience selling technical products into the Defence & Aerospace sectors in the North of the UK? Are you experienced with electrical/electromechanical components, or similar products that need to be sold/specced as a solution into the manufacturing stages or as a bespoke additional product? Are you keen to take over a strong customer base and a fantastic product range for a leading UK organisation?
If this sounds like you, we are working with an industry leader in the military and aerospace sector currently on the lookout for a Business Development Manager to join their team and oversee the management and growth of their product range in the Aerospace and Military markets in the North of the UK. While they are well established, they seek a driven, technically capable BDM, ideally with existing exposure to military/aerospace in the North of the UK, to drive further adoption of their products.
With over 90 years of growth and achievement, the company provides an extensive range of products and systems. As a group, they design and manufacture equipment for the Aviation, Maritime, Military, Aerospace, and Rail industries. They are a proud UK manufacturer with the USP of creating bespoke products at short notice. You will be targeted to generate sales orders at profitable levels that meet or exceed targets and to communicate action plans when results differ from expectations.
Candidates should have experience in a technical business development role, preferably field or home-based, with a proven success in winning new business and selling products to both new and existing customers. Comfort with visiting and working at trade shows worldwide, and engaging directly with end-user customers to discuss technical product benefits and pain points, is essential. All applicants must be tech-savvy, familiar with ERP/CRM systems, and comfortable conducting client meetings via video calls.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate who enjoys travelling and wants to advance their career in military or aerospace sales. The position is based in the North of the UK, ideally not lower than Birmingham. Occasional visits to the East Anglia office, about once or twice per month, may be required.
