You're a commercially astute business professional, who develops existing relationships, networks throughout clients, and grows business/sales. You'll have the experience, gravitas, and presence to drive a sales strategy where you get in front of clients and aim to become a trusted partner to them. Working with both Distribution and OEMs on technical solutions you're just as comfortable in engineering as you are in a boardroom.   BASIC SALARY: £45,000 - £55,000   BENEFITS: · OTE £6,200 + additional commission · Company car allowance £4,020 · Company pension · 25 days annual leave   LOCATION: Home based - National Coverage - 1-2 days per month in the Northamptonshire office   COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: You'll most likely be based in the Midlands.  You could live in Northampton, Birmingham, Oxford, Swindon, Bedford, Stevenage, Leicester, Luton, Milton Keynes, Banbury, Cambridge, etc.   JOB DESCRIPTION: Business Development Manager - Electronic Components   As the Business Development Manager, you'll be a pivotal part of our commercial team, working closely with the Head of Sales, European BDMs, Internal Sales, and Technical support, you'll be one of the key faces of the business. You'll be able to influence and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Development Manager - Electronic Components   Home-based, with extensive UK travel, your duties & accountabilities will include: · Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with the Top 10 clients (currently generating £1.5M of revenue) and gain a true understanding of the capacity within each client. · Identify new business opportunities within those accounts to cultivate, develop and maximise relationships. · Work closely with the internal sales team to continuously communicate with the wider customer base (1200). These customers currently sit across Distributors, Resellers, and OEMS such as Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, Defence, Agriculture, Telematics, Automation, MHE. · Collaborate with the technical team to secure opportunities arising from new product introductions/innovations/design capabilities. · Achieve a sales target of £1.8M   PERSON SPECIFICATION: Business Development Manager - Electronic Components   To be successful in your application, you will have the commercial awareness to understand what is demanded by today's customers. You'll be able to demonstrate previous action plans and strategies you have developed (with both Distribution partners and direct to OEMs) and implemented to successful outcomes.     You will have: · A proven track record of commercial success within sales and business development, ideally from a technical environment with an industrial component. · Experience and Knowledge, of some or all of the following market sectors; Industrial Distributors, Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Agriculture, Telematics, Automation, or MHE. · The ability to demonstrate how you have developed and grown existing clients, both national businesses and smaller independents. · Achieved £1M+ targets.   THE COMPANY:   As an established business we have consistently developed through performance, organic growth, and acquisition, we have established ourselves as a world leader in the supply of interconnect products used in electronic applications.
