Turner Property Recruitment are delighted to be working alongside a well established SME who are currently looking for an ambitious experienced Building Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This position is open to suitably qualified experienced individuals, who have a RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying and are working towards MRICS or equivalent. Ideally, you will have 5 years + experience working in a commercial Surveying environment.

Our client works in the private and public sectors, and their projects include refurbishments, new builds, and extension projects. You will work on a range of varied and interesting projects, including undertaking Surveys, preparing Specifications, Project Management and Contract Administration. Clients' portfolios include a range of Local Authority properties across Kent, Care Homes, Residential Blocks, Offices, other commercial premises, and Listed period properties mostly across London and the Home Counties.


Their multi-disciplinary team has a vast array of professional property experience and a strong reputation for providing a high-quality responsive hands-on service.


This position will be based at their head office in Faversham, set in a beautiful country park with free parking. They also have satellite offices in Bromley and London, which are available for ad hoc remote working.


Main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:-

  • Undertake measured surveys and site inspections.
  • Act as Project Manager
  • Project design and Specification writing (NBS)
  • Produce Feasibility Reports
  • Preparation of tender documentation
  • Contract Administration
  • Undertake site visits, attending/chairing meetings, as required.
  • Professional matters, including, but not limited to Party Wall Matters, Acquisitions, Condition Surveys, Dilapidations etc.


Essential Requirements

  • RICS Accredited Degree in Building Surveying.
  • Working towards MRICS or equivalent.
  • Track record of 5 years plus experience in a commercial Surveying environment.
  • Be self-motivated, with a strong team working ethos.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, at all levels, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to ensure timely delivery of high-quality service to our clients.
  • Possess excellent computing skills, work in an organised and methodical manner, with a high level of accuracy, technical knowledge, and attention to detail.
  • Strong Report writing skills.


Job Details

  • Permanent position
  • Competitive salary, negotiable, according to experience, up to £68,000
  • RICS or other professional Membership subscriptions paid.
