Thanks to the founders’ phenomenal ability to source the most desirable vintage pieces, their carefully curated collection spans every era, gemstone, and jewellery configuration imaginable. With their own dedicated workshop now located in Birmingham’s iconic Jewellery Quarter, there is now a requirement for a trade-proven Bench Jeweller to join the team.

Job Role

This opportunity offers the successful Bench Jeweller a wide scope of engaging daily bench work. Your craftsmanship will ideally complement that of your future team colleague, and together your combined expertise will enable you to tackle every task that comes your way.

Operating from this satellite workshop, your focus will be on the repair and restoration of both customer-purchased items and future stock pieces. There will also be a small amount of routine administration to complete, to ensure accurate audit trails and efficient turnaround times.

Requirements

As a skilled Jeweller, you’ll relish the challenge of restoring each item to its original lustre and structural integrity.

*

You’ll be confident in tasks such as stone setting, building component parts, and replacing full claws where necessary.

*

Expected bench skills include resizing, polishing, and laser welding. However, there will also be occasional, less typical challenges that call for a more creative and considered approach.

*

A careful, logical mindset and solid artisan understanding are essential—many pieces are unique and require a precise and respectful touch.

This role will suit a craftsperson who thrives when working with beautiful and varied precious items.
In truth, this is something of a one-off opportunity—but then again, so are you.
