Are you looking for a new Software Engineering Challenge in the Aerospace domain on a Permanent basis?

Hybrid working from one of our UK offices (Glasgow, Runcorn, Derby or Bristol).

Belcan, a Cognizant company, are an Engineering Services company and due to winning new projects and clients, we are looking for Software Engineers from the Aerospace industry.

What will you do?

As a Software Engineer you will be involved in such as technical proposals, studies and reviewing technical developments (e.g., processes and tools) from partners. As well as working within a team of Software to develop processes including evaluation of Software Engineering Tools, you will be involved with the development of DO-178C compliant Software Engineering Processes and Standards including the specification of tools (e.g., meta-models, profiles and code generation).

Also working within a team to develop tools compliant with DO-330 (requirements, design, coding, verification and documentation.

Who are we looking for?

  • Ideally you are degree qualified in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience, preferably in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • You will have the ability to work collaboratively within a large-scale programme and be experienced with the software development lifecycle and processes.
  • Software Development of applications (code, debugging and test)
  • Software languages (e.g., C, C++, Java) and Object-Oriented Programming
  • Software Development Tools (e.g., Requirements, IDEs, Test and Configuration Management)
