Scope of Role:


As an Avionics Technician, you will repair and overhaul various aircraft communication and navigation systems, including radar and radio audio units. You will perform precise mechanical and electronic repairs, using specialised test equipment for fault finding and testing. Your work will follow regulatory approvals and the company’s quality system, ensuring accuracy and safety standards are met. This role requires working with technologies ranging from analogue electronics to complex microprocessor electronics and RF circuits.

Main Responsibilities:

Undertake precise mechanical work and electronics repair including through-hole and surface-mounted components. Complete fault finding, repair, and testing processes using specialized and general-purpose test equipment. Undertake work in accordance with the manufacturer’s component maintenance manual, regulatory approvals, and the company’s quality system. Complete accurate and legible repair records. Maintain an agreed level of quality and cost effectiveness, ensuring accuracy and safety standards are met. Keep abreast of company working practices and procedures. Undertake cross-training in other technical areas in line with the requirements of the business

Qualifications:

Relevant technical qualifications at or above NVQ level 3, HNC or recognised trade qualification or relevant military education
