Scope of Role:

To repair and overhaul a wide range of aircraft Communications, Navigation, Radar, Radio Audio units, Recorders and Instruments to component level. This role requires working with technologies ranging from analogue electronics to complex microprocessor electronics and RF circuits.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Undertake precise mechanical work and electronics repair including through hole and surface mounted components. Complete fault finding, repair and testing process using specialised and general-purpose test equipment Undertake work in accordance with the manufacture’s component maintenance manual and regulatory approvals and the company’s quality system. Complete accurate and legible repair records and ensure they are filed in a timely manner. Maintain an agreed level of quality and cost effectiveness, ensuring accuracy and safety standards are met. Keep abreast of company working practices and procedures. Undertake cross-training in other technical areas in line with the requirements of the business. Understand and utilise the Quantum system to ensure effective delivery.

Other Responsibilities/Non-essential Functions:

Subject to the needs of the business and level of competency carry out independent inspections on other technician repairs. Undertake training that is identified as a requirement of the role as identified by the role Manager. Undertake all other reasonable requests that are made by the role manager/acting manager or Directors. At times of reduced department staff attendance there will be a need to be flexible and provide support outside of the normal tasks of the job to ensure customer satisfaction. On occasion you maybe required to take on ad hoc duties which includes, but is not limited to training, department associated tasks and secondment to other departments.

Limits of Fiscal/Management Authority:

Not permitted to change Business Management/SOP processes, procedures and guidelines without formal approval but expected to make recommendations.

Standard Company Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for understanding the Standard Operating Procedures and how they are applied to the role. Adhere to Health and Safety requirements at all times. Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies requirements. There is a responsibility on all employees to bring to the attention of their manager any issues that could potentially affect the business, regardless of how small they may seem at the time. All duties within this job description should be carried out in line with any Company policies and procedures in place at the time.

ESSENTIAL:

Full Driving Licence Degree/Diploma is essential on the below: Aircraft Engineering Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Technology Experience working in EASA 145 maintenance organisation and understanding of the regulations. Good understanding of aircraft component maintenance principles and system avionic Comprehensive knowledge of the concepts and principles of quality, health & safety, and environmental management. Understanding of policies and procedures; proven ability to communicate, lead and successfully deliver improvement initiatives IS09001:2015/AS9100/AS9110 Experience. Auditing internal/external. Takes ownership Ability to work well in multidiscipline/cross-functional teams  Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build close knit relationship with outside agencies Strong analytical, administrative and organization skills and excellent attention to detail Innovative and enthusiastic Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and multi-task Strong communicator (verbal and written) Takes ownership Able to work effectively with minimum supervision after completion of probationary period. Due to nature of business security clearance will be required
