Location: SO40 9LR, Southampton, Hampshire, South East, UKAvionics Technician & Administration SupportLocation: Southampton, Office basedHours: 40 hours per week, Monday to FridaySalary: £28,000 per annumExcellent BenefitsPurpose of the role;To be able to Repair, modify, test and release to service a variety of Garmin manufactured Avionics Products. With strong verbal and written communication skills and good time management to prioritise workload. Electronic Servicing experience is required. To support the Aviation Repair Administrators Role.Key duties & Responsibilities;Repair, Modify, Adjust Align, Test and Final Release to Service of Garmin Avionics EquipmentUnderstand and work within the realms of ISO 9001 AND FAA/CAA Part 145 requirementsTo understand and apply the appropriate functions of the Oracle business system that relate to the process flow and functions of the Aviation Repair Department.Set up and operate various pieces of test equipmentRecord, analyze and interpret test data.Completion of technical data on computer generated service reports and spreadsheets.Ability to communicate accurately and confidently verbally or written to Product support personnel, colleagues and occasionally to customers on technical issues relating to the unit repairs/modifications that pass through the Aviation Repair Workshop.Accessing and implementing Engineering Change Orders relating to unit repairs/ updates.Assistance with internal and external auditsManage and process inventory under department controlEducation & Experience;City and Guilds Electronic repair or equivalent experience.Electronic servicing experienceGood soldering skills (including Surface Mount Technology)Strong verbal and written communications skillsFunctional use of Microsoft Office software applicationsGood time management to prioritize work when under pressure to prevent unnecessary grounding of aircraft.TPBN1_UKTJ
