An exciting time to join our team, this Technology Trends internship will play a key role in providing day to day support to the Technology Trends team. This role will focus on helping to deliver the analysis that is needed to leverage Tech Trends insights and foresights and feed into the follow up work on Auto Council and APC roadmaps, including industry challenges and innovation opportunities reports. T


This role will also support the development and delivery of the APC’s Automotive Industry Quarterly demand reports on both demand data analysis and trends insights. Alongside this, opportunities will be given to work with other teams across the APC to provide a broader overview of the business functions and stakeholder and industrial engagements. Projects will be given that deliver useful outcomes for the APC as well as providing experience in different business areas.


Key responsibilities:


  • Data gathering and analysis as part of the technology insights and analysis process from external stakeholders, e.g. industry and OEMs, Research and Technology Organisations, Faraday Battery Challenge (FBC) and Driving the Electric Revolution (DER) also from internal teams, e.g. business development, Automotive Transformation.
  • Provide impact analysis and insights to help build a picture trends and drivers for automotive strategic technologies
  • Develop an understanding of future technological challenges and market opportunities to inform a direction for APC’s technology strategy and trends portfolio
  • Complete project-based and development activities, insight write up and foresight analysis around the APC’s technology portfolio


Self motivated and curious, the successful candidate will ideally furthered their academic studies in business, economics, math's, engineering, and have an interest in low carbon / zero emission technologies for the automotive applications. Demonstrating critical and original thinking, the candidate will be able to approach problems and determine the best methods to solve them. Articulate and professional, the candidate will be required to communicate effectively with all levels of the business.
