AWS islooking for an experienced and self-starter Solution Architect todrive adoption of AWS services for aerospace and satellitesolutions globally. Industry segments include launch services,human spaceflight, robotic/autonomous systems, mission controlcenter operations, space stations, satellite constellations, groundsegment (ground stations, earth stations, teleports), emergencyresponse services, IoT solutions (smart/digital cities), earthobservation, broadcast communications, and various governmentcapabilities. Solutions Architects work hand in hand with AWScustomers to help them make the most of the Cloud. They are at thecrossroads of business and technology and engage with organisationsat all stages of cloud adoption. Solutions Architects areresponsible for creating and presenting technical content andsharing best practices. Solutions Architects are responsible forthe overall technical relationship between customers and AWS andmake recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliabilityand operational efficiency. They work to understand the customer'sneeds and give prescriptive guidance on how to create solutionswith AWS technology. Solutions Architects lead activities such asarchitecture reviews, white-boarding sessions, demos and technicalworkshops. They collaborate with other teams such as accountmanagement, professional services, support, product teams and theAWS partner ecosystem. In this role you will get to practice yourcreativity, linking technology to tangible solutions and educatingAWS customers about the art of the possible. You will have theopportunity to implement or document cloud-native referencearchitectures for a variety of use cases. The SolutionsArchitecture team is a diverse group of technologists from avariety of backgrounds. Practical knowledge of the AWS platform isdesired but not required, provided you have a sound technicalfoundation and a desire to learn. You will have the support to growyour expertise in industry and technology areas of depth. Every dayyou will learn something new from your customers, your peers andyour own experiments. Work directly with customers to acceleratetheir projects and recommend best-practice architectures in linewith their long-term business outcomes. 2. Build technicalrelationships with customers and operate as their trusted advisor.The best interests of the customer will shape the guidance youprovide. 3. Share the voice of the customer to inform the roadmapof AWS features. 4. Participate in the creation and sharing of bestpractices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g.white papers, code samples, blog posts). 5. Evangelise and educateabout AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups,public speaking, online videos or conferences). 6. Contribute tothe growth of the Solutions Architecture organisation byinterviewing candidates and having a voice in hiring decisions. Youwill also be helping others develop new skills by knowledgesharing. 7. Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant toyour interests and your customer's outcomes. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS -Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. softwaredevelopment, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure,security, networking, data & analytics). - Experience indesign, implementation, or consulting in applications andinfrastructures. - Experience in IT development orimplementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries. -Understanding of space and satellite technology and business.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience working within softwaredevelopment or Internet-related industries. - Experience migratingor transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud. -Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/opsperspective. - Additional European language - Spanish/Italian(preferred).
