The Opportunity

Arqiva is growing its core IT Platform Team, and we are seeking an expert Ansible Platform Engineer with a focus on automation, specialising in the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP). This is a key role for someone with a passion for innovation and deep expertise in AAP, who will ensure the performance, availability, and security of our Linux systems, supporting both development and production environments.

What You’ll Do

• Design, architect, and maintain the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including upgrades and best practices.
  
  
• Develop and manage automation scripts and tools to streamline Linux system operations.
  
  
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support infrastructure and application deployment.
  
  
• Automate lifecycle management for Linux systems: provisioning, configuration, patching, and decommissioning.
  
  
• Act as a Technical SME, contributing to Agile project delivery and providing design authority for projects.
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation opportunities.
  
  
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes and tools.
  
  
• Support on-premises systems, with some integration into cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
  
  Must-Haves
  
  
• Experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including architecture, deployment, upgrades, and playbook development.
  
  
• Expert-level RHEL knowledge (7/8/9).
  
  
• Proven experience with Red Hat Satellite for system management.
  
  
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, YAML)
