You will provide engineering support to the designated area of responsibility to ensure continued, efficient operation of the workshop processes and will meet a high standard of engineering support services to customers.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Preparation of detailed work instructions for repair and overhaul of gas turbine engines and structural Nacelles, components of accessories ensuring compliance with regulation, approved maintenance data and customer requirements. Maintain work and inspection packages within the organisations Enterprise Planning Resource (ERP) system. Aid in resolution to technical problems found within product operations, liaising with manufacturers where applicable. Support performance engineer with test performance analysis and troubleshooting. Review Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and changes to approved Source Information such as manuals to allow incorporation into production / operations activity. Interpret and clarify instructions for continued airworthiness. Conduct Material review Board activity to aid in the control of product cost and quality. Create and maintain unit build standards and engineering bill of materials. Provide written and/or verbal advice to customers, providing reports relating to product serviceability, repair summaries, warranty and failure analysis. Provide technical support and relevant Management of Change input to new processes. Support implementation of authorised repair schemes. Maintain parts master data within the company ERP system. Support logistics with part configuration management with regards to repaired or exchanged parts. Provide meaningful contribution to continuous improvement activity within the business. Ensure non-conforming products and processes identified with corrective actions addressed in line with company timelines Adherence to the company Quality Management System (QMS), Safety Management System (SMS), Environmental Management System (EMS) and associated business manual(s).
Essential
Recognised Aerospace Engineering qualification. Experience in an aerospace repair organisation Awareness and implication of the regulations and regulatory requirements of the aerospace industry. Strong planning, organisational, analytical, decision making, oral and written communication skills. Ability to provide advice as a subject matter expert and provide technical report writing. Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings, manuals and technical instructions. Working knowledge of gas turbine engine and/or accessory theory and performance analysis. Thorough understanding of manufacturing methods, shop equipment and machining processes. Working knowledge of MRO ERP systems, Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access software.
