Position: Aerospace Supplier Quality Representative

Location: Farnborough, UK

Duration: Minimum 6 months

Frequency: Full-time

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead, assess & investigate supplier quality issues
  • Plan & execute high complex & cross-functional projects & initiatives
  • Participate in quality reviews, PMRs & governance meetings with senior management (Directors)
  • Identify improvement opportunities to enhance team efficiency and stakeholder capabilities
  • Define corrective actions & improvement plans with suppliers
  • Propose innovative solutions and manage their deployment for complex issues
  • Perform risk analysis for complex solutions
  • Communicate decisions effectively through strategic communication plans
  • Analyze data and generate KPIs on supplier quality performance
  • Manage RNC/VRNC quality tasks requiring MRB approval
  • Provide technical support and coaching on quality tools to team members & stakeholders
  • Act as a mentor and participate in defining strategic departmental plans

Additional Responsibilities

  • Plan & perform FAI reviews
  • Conduct source inspections
  • Review & approve quality forms (e.g., dropship)

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in aerospace and quality
  • Expertise in welding, assembly, and titanium; ability to inspect detailed and assembled parts
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Experience with problem-solving methodologies: 8D, PDCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Poka Yoke, etc.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus
  • Knowledge of Aerospace Quality Systems and International Standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts, including GD&T knowledge
  • Experience with First Article Inspections (AS9102) and tools like Net Inspect, Discus, SAP is advantageous
  • Proficiency with inspection tools: CMM, comparator, micrometers, thread gauges, calipers
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently
