Job Opportunity: FEA/Aircraft Stress Analysis Engineer

We’re currently looking for an experiencedFEA/Aircraft Stress Analysis Engineerto join our client’s team on a12-month contractbasis. This is ahybrid rolebased inBristol.


This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact aircraft structural projects, contributing to the design, analysis, and validation ofmetallic and composite components.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Performstress analysison primary and secondary aircraft structures.
  • DevelopGFEMandDFEMmodels for structural evaluation and sizing.
  • Conductlinear and non-linear FEAusing tools such asMSC Nastran/Patran,HyperMesh.
  • Support design modifications and validate them throughFEA.
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation and participate inPDR/CDR reviews.
  • Ensurecompliance with FAR/CARand other relevant regulations.
  • Driveautomation and process improvementsthrough scripting and tool development.
  • Provideengineering supporton field issues and propose alternative solutions.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum5 years’ experiencein aircraft stress analysis.
  • Strong background inmetallic and composite structures.
  • Proficiency withMSC Nastran/Patran, HyperMesh.
  • Expertise in2D & 3D FE modeling, classical methods, and hand calculations.
  • Experience inF&DT analysis.
  • Familiarity with scripting tools such asTCL, VBA, Python.
  • Working knowledge of aerospace standards (e.g., Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


Desirable:

  • Experience withCAD tools,PLM systems(Teamcenter, Windchill).
  • Familiarity withISAMIand Airbus toolsets.
  • Previousstress signatoryexperience is a plus.
