This roll will be offered on a 6-month fixed term contract.
About the Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy of our financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our finance department. Your keen eye for detail and exceptional numerical skills will aid you in performing a variety of accounting tasks with precision and efficiency. Key responsibilities will include.
- Processing of invoices, purchase orders and cash payments through the purchase ledger
- Processing and payment of employee expenses as well as incoming customer receipts and weekly payment runs
- Support the month-end and year-end closing process
- Contribute to the preparation of VAT returns and other regulatory filings
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed
Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. In order to strive in the role, you must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy. You will be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
You will have 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above to include Maths and accounting or bookkeeping skills would be desirable.

We offer a competitive starting salary ranging from £22,000 to £26,000 per annum, based on experience.
