About the Role
Links Recruitment are recruiting for a proactive and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join a leading logistics organisation.
Based  in Wisbech, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing and managing the most efficient and customer-focused delivery plans.
You will work closely with drivers, commercial teams, and operations colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations, cost efficiency, and exceptional customer service. Using the Ortec planning and optimisation tool, you will deliver optimised daily plans and support ongoing operational success.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily operational mobilisation and ensure all drivers are fully equipped for their routes.
Monitor and recover non-delivered drops (NDRs).
Manage and recycle Load on Board (LOB) using Fleetwatch and on-truck telemetry.
Support same-day delivery opportunities in line with business priorities.
Deliver efficient, customer-centric plans that meet KPI targets.
Maintain high Plan vs Actual (PvA) performance through proactive management.
Communicate effectively with sales, operations, and drivers to ensure successful delivery execution.
Analyse driver performance and delivery data to identify and resolve issues. About You

GCSE-level education or equivalent.
Experience working within a complex, multi-site logistics or distribution environment.
Background in vehicle or delivery planning is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High competence in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with vehicle routing systems (Ortec experience advantageous).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
