About the Company:

Our client is an innovative space technology company developing next-generation spacecraft and orbital systems. With a growing team of engineers and an ambitious roadmap, they are focused on advancing capabilities across satellite operations, autonomous spaceflight, and mission-critical spacecraft technologies. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior GNC Engineer to play a key role in the development of future missions.

The Role:

As a Senior GNC Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of Guidance, Navigation & Control systems for spacecraft and orbital platforms. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will help drive technical decisions, support mission development, and contribute to the successful delivery of complex space missions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of Guidance, Navigation & Control algorithms for spacecraft systems.

Develop attitude determination and control systems (ADCS) for orbital missions.

Perform modelling, simulation, and analysis of spacecraft dynamics and control performance.

Support mission planning, trajectory analysis, and spacecraft operations.

Develop and maintain high-fidelity simulation environments.

Collaborate with software, systems, avionics, and flight operations teams.

Support hardware integration, testing, and flight validation activities.

Contribute to technical reviews and key engineering decisions.

Mentor and support junior engineers within the GNC team.

Requirements:

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.

Proven experience developing GNC systems within the space industry.

Strong understanding of spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics, estimation theory, and control systems.

Experience with attitude determination and control algorithms.

Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C++, or similar engineering tools.

Experience developing simulation and modelling environments.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.

Excellent communication and technical presentation skills.

Desirable Experience:

Experience supporting spacecraft integration, testing, and on-orbit operations.

Knowledge of autonomous spacecraft systems and rendezvous/proximity operations.

Experience with Kalman filtering, navigation systems, and sensor fusion.

Previous involvement in satellite, launch vehicle, or deep-space missions
