Project Delivery Head - Propulsion Software & Calibration

Project Delivery Head – Propulsion Software & Calibration role at Tata Technologies to be based at our customer’s site in Gaydon. The Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses activities under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. ESS also integrates project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity to ensure ASPICE compliance and deliver reliable, secure, high-quality embedded systems & solutions.

We are seeking a seasoned Project Delivery Head to lead and oversee the execution of propulsion software and calibration programs. This role requires deep technical and program management expertise in propulsion systems, including collaboration with Bosch and other Tier-1 suppliers. Onsite presence is highly preferred to facilitate direct engagement with stakeholders and engineering teams.

Lead and oversee end-to-end delivery of software and calibration content, ensuring alignment with engineering processes, program milestones, and quality standards.

Area of Responsibility

• Program Delivery & Governance
  • Lead delivery of propulsion software and calibration content across multiple vehicle programs
  • Ensure timely execution of calibration packages, including feature integration, validation, and release
  • Drive alignment with Agile and V-model development processes, including gateway reviews and technical checkpoints
  • Manage cross-functional delivery teams across software, calibration, systems, and validation domains
• Technical Oversight
  • Provide strategic direction on calibration strategy, software integration, and propulsion feature rollout
  • Oversee calibration management including base calibration, feature tuning, emissions compliance, and drivability refinement
  • Ensure robust software management practices including version control, change tracking, and release documentation
  • Support issue triage and resolution for propulsion control features in collaboration with Bosch
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as primary interface between internal teams, customer engineering team, and Bosch technical leads
  • Facilitate technical reviews, program updates, and escalation management with customer stakeholders
  • Champion continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across delivery teams

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Strong experience in propulsion software and calibration delivery
• Proven track record of managing complex automotive software projects with Bosch or similar Tier-1 suppliers
• Deep understanding of propulsion architecture, calibration workflows, and software release processes
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Familiarity with tools such as ETAS INCA, Vector CANape, JIRA, DOORS, and Jenkins

• Knowledge of hybrid and electrified propulsion systems (xHEV, BEV, PHEV)
• Exposure to ISO 26262, ASPICE, and functional safety practices
• PMP, Prince2, or Agile certification
