Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team on a night-shift basis.

The successful candidate will have previous experience operating CNC machinery within a precision manufacturing environment. Aerospace experience would be highly advantageous, particularly where candidates have experience working to tight tolerances and demanding quality standards.

The role requires a reliable and technically minded individual who can work independently during the night shift while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with production requirements.

Load and unload components and ensure machines are operating correctly.

Follow established production processes, work instructions and engineering drawings.

Carry out basic machine setting and adjustments where required.

Monitor machining processes and identify any issues or abnormalities.

Perform in-process and final inspection of components.

Use measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges.

Maintain required dimensional accuracy and product quality.

Complete production and quality documentation accurately.

Report machine, tooling or quality issues to the appropriate personnel.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.

Meet agreed production targets while maintaining quality standards.

Follow all company, health & safety and aerospace quality procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience working as a CNC Operator within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Experience operating CNC machinery in a production environment.

Ability to follow engineering drawings, work instructions and production documentation.

Good understanding of dimensional tolerances and quality requirements.

Competent use of basic inspection and measuring equipment.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Reliable and flexible approach to working night shifts.

Desirable Experience

Previous experience within the aerospace industry.

Experience working with precision components and tight tolerances.

Experience with CNC milling or turning.

Experience with CNC machine setting and tooling changes.

Knowledge of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.

Relevant engineering or CNC qualifications.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced CNC Operator with a strong background in precision manufacturing. Aerospace experience would be particularly beneficial, but candidates with relevant CNC experience from other high-precision engineering sectors will also be considered.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working nights and maintaining consistent levels of quality, accuracy and productivity throughout the shift.
