Our UK business specialises in the production and delivery of aerospace tooling. Manufacturing and sourcing tools for engine and airframe build and repair, working with high profile OEMs to deliver quality products day in, day out.

About Role:
We are looking for an experienced individual who will play an integral part in our planned expansion of the machine shop and business. You will also be required to train other members of our expanding team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who wants to develop their skills further working in a fast paced environment. The role of Master Data Technician will be responsible for the preparation of manufacturing master data documents for products in UK Production, and to keep the ERP system up to date with relevant information used in the manufacture of parts.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Independent and autonomous preparation of drawings, quality and process documents for products of our licensors, such as Rolls-Royce, Airbus etc.
  • Creation and maintenance of master data in SAP (materials, parts lists, change management, etc.).
  • Contact person for recording and, if necessary, implementing changes to the production documents.
  • Close cooperation with production and learning various manufacturing processes.
  • Assist Production Manager and other team members in achieving/ exceeding KPIs and proactively contribute to continuous improvement company wide.
  • Prepare and present internal and external reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Develop good working relationships with stakeholders to be able to embed the company’s control standards, systems and methods delivering accurate and quality project performance in a timely manner.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Machine Shop including holiday cover where required.
  • Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team.

  • The post holder must to the best of their knowledge and experience carry out work in such a manner so not to endanger their own health and safety, that of their colleagues, the company’s clients, the general public, our suppliers or the environment.
  • Engage in training, development and education in order to keep skills and knowledge current and to strive for continual improvement.

Expected Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
  • Completed training as a technical draftsman/product designer or comparable practical experience.
  • Professional experience in a technical field.
  • Confident in using CAD systems, preferably Solid Works.
  • Experience in using an ERP system, ideally SAP.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming principles preferred.
  • Knowledge of materials and alternatives advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify anomalies in data.
  • Goal orientated and task driven, able to work to tight deadlines within a pressurised environment, while remaining customer focused and maintaining accuracy of data.
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work alone and unsupervised as well as part of a team
  • Ability to manage own priorities and workload.
