The role would suit candidates with proven experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally within the aerospace sector, who are skilled in CNC machining, CAD/CAM software, and process optimization. It is essential that you can read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Applicants with knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 standards and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies will have a considerable advantage and are encouraged to apply.

Working to aerospace industry standards, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and refining manufacturing processes for high-specification metallic components. As part of your role, you will engage in CNC programming, troubleshooting production issues, developing tooling, and leading continuous improvement initiatives within a supportive team environment at a well-established engineering company.

The Role:

• Designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for aerospace components

• Creating 3D models and CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, SolidCAM)

• Providing hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving manufacturing issues

• Specifying and maintaining production tooling, jigs, and fixtures

• Leading Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives to drive efficiency and zero-defect culture

• Maintaining detailed work instructions, technical reports, and ensuring AS9100/ISO 9001 compliance

• Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and process transfer projects

The Person:

• Must have experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in aerospace

• Must be proficient in CNC machining, assembly processes, and aerospace-grade materials

• Must be confident using CAD/CAM software and reading engineering drawings/specifications

• Will ideally have an HNC in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent)

• Will ideally have knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies

• Candidates with strong project management skills and BPSS clearance eligibility will have a considerable advantage
