Are you an experiencedMaintenance Engineer looking for a hands-on role where your skills can have a real impact?
We’re looking for a proactive, multi-skilledFacilities Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering and facilities team at ourConsett site, supporting operations within the aerospace and defence sector.
This is a varied role where you’ll take ownership of site facilities, plant and critical services, keeping everythingsafe, reliable, compliant and operational.
What you'll be doing- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Fault-finding acrosselectrical, mechanical and building-services systems.
- Maintaining site infrastructure including power, lighting, HVAC, water and drainage.
- Supporting critical site services and responding to breakdowns.
- Working with contractors and specialist service providers.
- Supporting statutory inspections, compliance and permit-to-work activities.
- Assisting with new installations, modifications and commissioning.
- Identifying opportunities to improvereliability, energy efficiency and maintenance processes.
What we're looking forYou'll ideally have:
- Previous experience infacilities, industrial, manufacturing or engineering maintenance.
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance.
- The ability to read technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
- A strong understanding of health and safety in an engineering environment.
- A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.
Experience withHVAC, BMS, electrical distribution, compressed air, pumps, fire systems, generators/UPS, CMMS or contractor management would be advantageous.
IOSH / NEBOSH qualifications would also be beneficial.

Working hoursMonday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am–1:00pm
