Shifts: Mon-Fri 8am 4.30pm (With Flexibility to work shifts)
Hourly Rate: £18.25 PAYE / £23.65 Umbrella
Hours Per Week: 37
Duration: Ongoing
Start Date: November/December 2025

Shorterm Group are recruiting for over 40 Dual Skilled Fitters who are looking to adapt and learn new skills for a long term contracts for one of their major clients to carry out mechanical overhaul of Rail Bogies electrical and wiring overhaul on HVAC systems at the clients Crewe Depot.

Industries considered: Rail, Rolling Stock, RAF, REME, Army, Navy, Marine, Avionics, Rolling Stock, Commercial/Industrial Electrics, Defence, Plant Engineering, SPM, HVAC, and Process Engineering

Disciplines considered: Rolling Stock, Pannel Wirer, Electrical Assembler, Dual Skilled Fitters, HVAC, Avionics, Aerospace, Automotive, Electricians, Plumbers

Client Summary: A world-renowned Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service and maintenance company and is the number one provider of rail solutions in the world. This prestigious company is also the largest rolling stock manufacturer and provider in the UK and employs over 70,000 employees in 60 countries worldwide.

Position Summary:
Successful candidates will be expected to carry out the following:

HVAC overhaul (electrical), damage repair and engineering
Bogie Overhaul (mechanical), damage Repair and engineering
Read Electrical Schematics and Technical Mechanical Drawings
Wire crimping and soldering

Experience Required:
Mechanical stripping, fitting and overhaul
Electrical overhaul, wire crimping and soldering
Working in a safety critical environment.
Ideally have experience with HVAC systems

Qualifications:
A minimum of a NVQ Level 2 or Equivalent in either a Mechanical or Electrical Discipline.
