Location: Broughton, full time on-site requirement
Contract Duration: Until December 2026 (Inside IR35)
Pay Rate: Up to £52.00 per hour Umbrella (PAYE equivalent available)
Hours: Standard 35 hours per week

Role Overview

A leading aerospace engineering organisation is seeking a Design Concession Approver (Lead Design Engineer) to join their team in Broughton. The successful candidate will provide engineering expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality wing components to final assembly lines. This role is integral to identifying improvements, conducting investigations, and delivering technical solutions for structural and systems modifications, with a focus on cost, rate, and quality enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead design investigations and formulate technical solutions for manufacturing non-conformances and design investigations, ensuring all design, airworthiness, and safety requirements are met.
Liaise with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
Operate as a lead design engineer and hold (or have previously held) design approval signatory status, particularly for manufacturing non-conformances (T200).
Act as a focal point for technical issues and governance, providing guidance and technical mentoring to engineering team members.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency, ensuring robust lessons learnt and feedback processes are maintained.
Report on critical technical issues to functional and delivery managers.
Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships across the wider engineering network.

Holds (or has previously held) Concession Design Approval (T200).
Non-conformance experience is essential.
