Location: Ferndown, Dorset

Salary: Up to £21.00 per hour

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Aerospace Mechanical Inspector to join a leading precision engineering and aerospace manufacturing business based in the Ferndown area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused inspector with strong aerospace experience and hands-on knowledge of Mitutoyo CMM equipment to join a well-established organisation offering a competitive hourly rate and a 4-day working week.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components.

* Operate and utilise Mitutoyo CMM equipment to verify product compliance.

* Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

* Perform dimensional inspections using a range of precision measuring instruments.

* Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately.

* Identify and report non-conformances in accordance with company procedures.

* Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain the highest standards.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Inspector within the aerospace industry.

* Experience using Mitutoyo CMM systems.

* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.

* Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards and inspection techniques.

* Experience using conventional inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and bore gauges.

* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
