Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Assembly Operations: Ensure the efficient and accurate construction of cabinets and other components for a variety of multi million pound projects
  • Team Management: Provide guidance, training, and support to assembly workers, enhancing their skills and productivity.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor processes to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Material Handling: Also working with lamination and composite materials, ensuring proper handling and application techniques.
  • Industry Expertise: Utilize experience from the boat building, aerospace, defence, or automotive sectors to inform best practices.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in wood assembly, specifically in carpentry or bench joinery, within a relevant industry such as boat building, aerospace, or automotive.
  • WORKSHOP experience ESSENTIAL
  • Material Expertise: Familiarity with lamination, composite materials, and prepreg processes is a distinct advantage
  • Leadership: At least 2 years of proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality and precision in assembly work.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and management.
