Test Engineer - Validation Testing
Alpine F1 Team have an excellent opportunity to join our team as we continue to grow. We are looking for a highly talented individual to join or Validation Testing department at Enstone.
The Role:
Within the Build and Test Department we are looking for a Test Engineer who will be responsible for improving efficiency within Validation Testing by working closely with the rest of the organisation to optimise test processes, procedures, and department technical capability. Key accountabilities for this role are:
- Support the implementation and optimisation of state-of-art testing labs working on a variety of rigs such as, but not limited to, linear dynos, multi-axial dynos, rotating dynos, 7 Post rig, brake dyno, K&C, suspension durability rigs, hydraulic rigs, vibration rigs, fuel rigs, etc.
- Rig upgrades, investigation, and specification for operational efficiency / continuous improvement with latest technology.
- Optimisation of current test procedures and methodologies.
- Involvement at early stages of test specification to bridge the gap between existing capability and engineering requirements.
- Rig / controllers / software development and troubleshooting.
The Person:
You will have a relevant Masters in Engineering or Aerospace combined with a strong background of testing in motorsport, automotive or aerospace.
You will have a good understanding of dyno control systems, sensors and actuators; good programming and data analysis skills (Matlab/Python). You will also have experience leading a variety of activities such as installation, acceptance testing, calibration, maintenance and testing of rigs.
This is a cross functional role, so collaboration is a key attribute, coupled with strong attention to detail with an analytical and structured approach.
You will be proactive and flexible with the ability to meet deadlines and solve problems.
