Description CNC Process Engineer  WickfordPermanentLeidos are currently seeking an experienced CNCProcess Engineer to join our team in Wickford, where we design andmanufacture jigs and fixtures used in car manufacturing.You are, orhave been, a CNC Machinist, ideally with some experience inmachining jigs, fixtures and tooling, looking to change directioninto a more process driven role where you use your experience asour machining expert – where you’ll play an integral part inoptimising our design for manufacture, machines and machiningprocesses, materials and quality.You’ll act as the link betweendesign and manufacturing, reading drawings they produce andadvising on potential tweaks which may see the jig/fixture/tool beeasier, quicker or cheaper to manufacture, advise on materialswhich could optimise performance, review machining techniques andprocesses and cycle counts to identify areas to improve quality,costs and efficiency.Why should you join our Production Team?We areproblem solvers – we often have to think on our feet to solveengineering problems, improve efficiency, performance andprofitability.Fast Paced Industry – technology is evolving, ourcustomers are evolving.
