What Are We Looking For?

Due to our continued growth with Thames Water, our PTSN Project team is looking to recruit Telemetry Technicians on a permanent basis to work across the Thames Water region. The Telemetry Technician will support the development and commissioning of Telemetry and control systems, supporting the programming, simulation, testing and start up process.

Please note there is travel and working away from home required as part of this role.

Some Of Your Key Duties Include

Responsible for configuration of telemetry RTU’s and RTS system including update of Mimics, serial comms (RTU Modbus) and radio communications links.
Drive telemetry commissioning and signal end to end testing process with close liaison with Clients and Operations teams.
Ensure all results of telemetry system tests are accurately documented at all stages of the project life-cycle including full signal end to end testing process.
Manage modification and implement code changes under change control
Acquire a detailed understanding of the telemetry systems
Liaise with project managers to assist with programming and updating schedules
Partner with different disciplines to deliver telemetry projects in accordance with guidelines
Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder’s appropriate skill set

What Do You Need?

Electrical experience with skill in the installation, repair and maintenance of all types of electrical equipment and components
Working knowledge and an understanding of electrical schematics
Knowledge of applicable electrical regulations and design standards
Full UK Driving Licence
