Telemetry Fitter – Homebased – Ideally located in or surrounding areas of Plymouth

The Customer Engineering team at Calor Gas are looking to recruit an engaging and proactive individual to train and develop into a Telemetry Fitter. Installing new and replacing faulty telemetry units at Calor customers premises in the area.

Calor Gas is the UKs leading LPG supplier. We offer a range of off grid energy options for heating, cooking and other needs, to homes and businesses including sectors such as agriculture, transport and manufacturing.

Starting salary is £27,846 plus additional benefits

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Installing and maintaining Calor’s telemetry unit to our bulk tanks and assets at customer sites.
  • Activating and checking devices using an app on a smart phone/ tablet
  • Risk Assessments,
  • Tank Exchange surveys,
  • Tank switcher surveys
  • Any none gas basic repair work.
  • Assist gas engineers when required.
  • Travel (van and fuel provided) in order to meet customer service standards for our largely rural customer base

As such we would like you to have/be:

  • Experience in dealing with customers face to face and providing excellent customer care.
  • Any relevant experience would be considered useful, and an understanding of LPG and the installation and maintenance of bulk LPG tanks would be a distinct advantage.
  • Have knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards, including Health and Safety awareness
  • Be able to follow procedures and instructions
  • Full industry specific training and support will be given to the right individual.
  • A full UK driving licence is also essential.
