Location: We operate a flexible, hybrid working environment with the candidate required to travel to either our Winchester or London office once or twice a week.

    Overview

    Designs and develops technical architecture solutions that align with Arqiva’s enterprise architecture and address business challenges, ensuring the integration of processes, applications, data, and technologies.

    The role

  • Design robust, scalable technical architecture solutions that meet business and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards

  • Develop comprehensive integration strategies across multiple platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective technical architecture designs, supporting both operational and analytical needs

  • Ensure technical solutions are designed with security, compliance, and governance requirements in mind, minimising risks and safeguarding technical assets

  • Provide expert guidance on detailed technical solution design to ensure that the built and in-life solution meets business needs

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Arqiva's enterprise architecture, recommending improvements to enhance enterprise capabilities and performance

  • Lead the implementation of technical architecture solutions, providing technical leadership and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget

  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in technical architecture, and incorporate relevant advancements into architectural designs

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure that data solutions align with broader IT and business objectives

  • Provide thought leadership through data solution architecture expertise and act as an SME for the team.

  • Own relationships with suppliers in this ecosystem and peers in the industry.

    The person

  • Significant experience in solution architecture or a related field

  • Proven track record in designing and delivering architecture solutions for connectivity systems and infrastructure

  • Comprehensive knowledge of architecture frameworks and best practices (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).

  • Qualifications: A degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is advantageous.

  • Solution Architecture - Ability to design end-to-end technical solutions that integrate various systems, services, and technologies.

  • Transmission Systems - Knowledge of transmission systems, equipment and technologies e.g. antennae, satellite systems.

  • Operational Support Systems - Proficient in first and/or second line operational support systems and network management.

  • Virtualisation & Cloud Computing - Proficiency with virtualisation and cloud computing e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud platforms

  • Communication skills - collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical info and provide training or support

  • Analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues

  • Attention to detail - keen attention to detail in identifying defects and ensuring accuracy

  • Innovation & CI - ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement
