Our client, a prestigious leader in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to enhance their team. This role is crucial for spearheading project deliveries and contributing towards innovative, energy-efficient solutions that promote a sustainable future.

What You'll Do:

Apply mechanical and/or systems engineering knowledge throughout product lifecycles.
Manage stages of system lifecycle including requirements management, validation, systems design, development, integration, verification, and qualification.
Develop and oversee engineering management plans and tasks.
Translate stakeholder and customer requirements into comprehensive project solutions.
Coordinate with suppliers and customers to align the project outputs with their expectations.
Ensure system integrity through lifecycle management and maintain traceability of design decisions.
Support product lifecycle stages to deliver an integrated solution.
Organise engineering design gate reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
Identify and manage technical risks and opportunities impacting project delivery.
Engage with engineering leadership and program management to ensure appropriate project resourcing and capability.
Champion continuous improvement by incorporating effective systems engineering practices.

Job Requirements:

Proven experience in project engineering, especially related to aerospace systems.
Understanding and application of systems engineering practices.
Experience with requirements management and verification tools, preferably DOORS/CRADLE.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to driving solutions.
Ability to engage stakeholders effectively and ensure project alignment with strategic objectives.
Recognised engineering degree or equivalent qualifications with experience in mechanical, electromechanical, or systems product development.
