Are you a Systems Engineer with experience of System Architecture design, knowledge of working with mixed RF and baseband technologies, together with integration of software management systems ?

Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a Systems Engineer to work for one of our clients based in Portsmouth, UK.

This is a Long-term Contract role, on a Modems and Software Defined Radio project

You will be an experienced Systems Engineer with knowledge of working with mixed RF and baseband technologies as well as the integration of software management systems. Within our team, you will work to take a set of Customer requirements from concept to delivery.

As the project is for UK MOD, you must be eligible for a UK Security Clearance, candidates with current SC Clearance will be most welcome

The role will be based at in Portsmouth, UK, The role has a flexible working pattern and you will be required to be in office 60% of your time.

You will be an experienced Systems Engineer with knowledge of working with mixed RF and baseband technologies as well as the integration of software management systems. Within our team, you will work to take a set of Customer requirements from concept to delivery.

In particular, your skills will include:

Mandatory Skills:

Generation of system architecture design
Allocation of Customer requirements to functional areas within the overall system design
Generation of sub-system specifications and Interface Control Documentation
Generation of test strategies/test campaigns
Generation of test procedure documentation
Have experience of fault finding and investigation of test failures.

Beneficial Skills:

System and software modelling tools such as Enterprise Architect (SysML / UML)
Requirements Management tools such as DOORs
A background knowledge in the use of system test hardware, for both RF and baseband diagnosis
A background knowledge/interest of satellite communication systems/industry or Modem technologyAbout you

To be successful in this role you will need to work to tight deadlines in an environment of continuous improvement. The skills and experience suited to this role:

HND or Bachelor of Engineering and typically 5+ years of professional experience
Experience of using high level modelling languages (e.g. SysML, UML)
Familiarity of using agile methodologies in delivery is desirable
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team You will require 'Current Right to Work' in UK, unfortunately no sponsorship will be available for this role.
