About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the Displays & Controls Subsystem team, responsible for the production and maintenance of the Displays & Controls Functional Requirements Document. This document defines the functional behaviour of subsystem equipment, including interfaces, required to meet cockpit design requirements for multiple customer programmes. The role involves supporting the review of system and subsystem problem reports from various sources, including System Integration rigs and Flight Testing. The engineer will document results, conduct analysis, and maintain logs and status information throughout the project.

The Senior Engineer will also play a key role in supporting formal reviews with teams and stakeholders, ensuring the accurate implementation of requirements across design phases and maintaining compliance with cockpit design standards. Additionally, the role involves analysing subsystem failure cases, identifying associated hazards, and documenting mitigation strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the production and maintenance of the Displays & Controls Functional Requirements Document.

  • Review and analyse System and Subsystem problem reports from System Integration rigs and Flight Testing.

  • Document results, analysis, and maintain status logs and information throughout each project.

  • Engage in team and stakeholder reviews, supporting the implementation of requirements across design phases.

  • Ensure compliance with Cockpit Design requirements.

  • Conduct analysis of subsystem failure cases, identify hazards, and document mitigations.

    Experience Required:

  • Degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Strong Systems Engineering background, ideally within Aerospace or Defence sectors.

  • Proficiency with design tools and methodologies such as Statemate, Artisan, Rhapsody, UML, and DOORs.

  • Ability to derive system requirements from high-level requirements.

  • Knowledge of the Hazard Analysis process and experience with analysis tools like Fault Tree+.

  • Experience working with equipment Interface Control Documents (ICDs).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven experience in stakeholder management
