Supply Planning Manager

The Supply Planning team are looking for a leader to join this dynamic and forward-thinking group, dedicated to delivering impactful results one plan at a time

In this role you will develop, optimise and maintain the supply master plans for all manufacturing processes and raw material supply to External manufacturers alongside the management of inbound supply of Raw Materials & Packaging to support the Hillhouse production plant.

Your main accountabilities will include:

• managing and accountability for all the planning rules (master data) such as ordering rules, planning rules, inventory levels, and safety stock levels; and for responding to ERP system action and exception messages to synchronise the end-to-end external supply chain & internal supply of raw materials & packaging.
• Driving system optimisation and continuous improvement, ensuring MRP is used effectively to maintain supply plan validity to enable the delivery of world class levels of customer service.
• Develop and maintain a raw material materials sourcing model (make versus buy) working closely with procurement.
• Monitor and develop appropriate reports (KPIs), along with recommendations for change on planning execution performance across the supply chain to drive continuous improvement.
• Challenges manufacturing and procurement on order quantity and lead time rules to drive to smaller and smaller numbers through process improvements, in order to optimise the supply chain through effective inventory management.
• Monitor stock levels for emergence of slow-moving and obsolete products and drive action to resolve/ reduce.
• Work closely and communicate effectively with the manufacturing, procurement and planning team to ensure total synchronisation of actions, and alignment of the masterplan to ensure business objectives are met.
