Supplier Quality Engineer (6 Month FTC)

A unique opportunity has come our way to work with an exciting new motorsport operation as they establish their supply chain and quality foundations. We're seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to take the lead in developing, auditing, and managing a brand-new network of precision suppliers.
As the sole Quality Engineer within this growing team, you'll have the autonomy to shape quality processes from the ground up. You'll play a key role in supplier approval, auditing, and ongoing performance management - ensuring every component meets the demanding standards of top-level motorsport.
This is a hybrid role, offering a great balance of autonomy and collaboration. You'll spend around three days per week onsite at the company's HQ, with the remaining two days working flexibly - either visiting suppliers or working from home, depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct supplier audits and establish a reliable approved supplier list.
  • Implement and maintain supplier quality standards and documentation.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support purchasing and engineering teams to ensure quality consistency across the supply chain.

Requirements:

  • Proven Supplier Quality Engineering experience, ideally within motorsport or precision manufacturing.
  • Strong auditing skills and familiarity with PPAP, APQP, and similar tools.
  • Self-sufficient, proactive, and able to build strong supplier relationships.
