Software Assurance Engineer Defence & Aerospace

JoinALTENand play a critical role in thesoftware assurancefor a military aerospace project a toptier multirole combat aircraft renowned for its agility across air operations. As a consultant youll assess and validate software code and test reports ensuring rigorous software quality on a project that defines the future of defence aviation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the critical link betweensoftware test & integrationandsoftware qualityreviewing and validating software code andtest reportsproduced by the software test team.
  • Leadintegration and verificationof software components ensuring compliance withDO178Cstandards.
  • Conduct comprehensivesoftware assuranceassessments to verify that all systems meetsafetycriticalrequirements for mission reliability.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams indefence and aerospaceenvironments to maintain high standards in software reliability and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software integration issues contributing to the overall resilience of the Typhoon project.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4 years insoftware integrationandverification.
  • Strong knowledge ofDO178Cstandards and practices.
  • Ability to evaluate softwarequalityand validate testing outputs ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Eligible forSecurity Clearance (SC).
  • Experience insafetycriticalsoftware environments with an understanding of quality processes.

Location: Bristol or Manchester If Bristol will require sporadic visits to Manchester (3 days onsite per week; travel coverage included where necessary)
