Skilled Welder

Orbital Recruitment are looking for highly motivated Skilled MIG and TIG Welders to join our client in Derby.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out refurbishment work on Rolling Stock predominately on Aluminium

Long Term Contracts possibility of Permanent work

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Replacing worn and corroded parts on Rolling Stock
  
  
• Must possess the following types of skills in welding corroded and worn parts
  
  
• Carry out work in a professional and safe manner
  
  
• Must be to flexible to working both on and offsite
  
  
• Must have engineering awareness
  
  About you:
  
  
• Ideally Apprenticeship/NVQ trained
  
  
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think critically High level of attention to detail
  
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  
  
• Experience of rolling stock vehicle and component repairs would be advantageous
  
  Salary:
  
  
• MIG welders - PAYE - £17p/h - Umbrella £21.50p/h
  
  
• OT1 £28.66p/h - OT2 £32.25p/h up to 42 hrs
  
  
• MIG &TIG welders PAYE - £19 - Umbrella £24.11p/h MIG/TIG
  
  
• OT1 £30.14p/h - OT2 £36.16p/h after 42 hrs
  
  Lodge also paid
  
  Hours/Contract:
  
  
• 7.30am – 4.30pm Mon – Friday (39 HRS PAID)
  
  Please be aware flexibility is required regarding working hours
  Working away on occasions required
