Are you an experienced service engineer with a passion for mechanical and electrical systems? Do you want to play a key role in delivering cutting-edge solutions to some of the most high-profile industries like Aerospace, Formula 1, and Automotive? This company is expanding, and they are looking for a skilled Senior Service Engineer to join their dedicated team!

They are a well-established business that specializes in supplying conveyor systems to the machine tool industry. They serve a global client base, delivering highly sophisticated solutions across the UK and beyond. Their products are used by leading industries such as Aerospace, Formula 1, and Automotive.

Key Responsibilities: As a Senior Service Engineer, you will:

  • Delivering installations, breakdown responses, and preventative maintenance across the UK and worldwide.

  • Work on a wide variety of machinery, ranging in complexity, ensuring each job is completed with high precision and professionalism.

  • Travel frequently, with some assignments lasting up to 10 days, both in the UK and internationally.

  • Be the customer’s point of contact, offering expert advice and ensuring a professional, friendly, and approachable service.

  • Handle mechanical and electrical tasks, including PLC programming, hydraulics, and machine interfacing.

    What They are Looking For:

  • Strong experience in both mechanical and electrical engineering.

  • Previous work in the machine tool industry and knowledge of plant machinery maintenance.

  • Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team.

  • Ideal candidates will have a City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installations Qualification or similar.

  • Experience with PLC programming, hydraulics, and machine interfacing is highly desirable.

  • A proactive, customer-focused attitude and excellent communication skills.

    Salary and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: £15-£16/hr for the first 39hrs.

  • Overtime: 1.5x Rate (£23.25/hr) after 39hrs and on Saturdays; 2x Rate (£31.00/hr) on Sundays.

  • Estimated Total Salary (Including Overtime): £45,000 - £51,000 (based on 50-55hrs/week).

  • Company Van, Mobile Phone & Credit Card to support your work.

  • Holiday: 28 days per annum (including 8 public/bank holidays), increasing to 29 days after 5 years of service.

  • Pension Scheme (subject to eligibility).

  • Life Assurance Scheme (after 2 years of service, subject to eligibility).
