What you will be doing

This is an exciting time to join Breathe. Having proven the value of our products in both the automotive and consumer electronics spaces, we are scaling our engineering team to deliver Breathe products into all-new customer applications. This is an opportunity to lead systems engineering activities for customer projects. You will work with some of the brightest minds in the battery space to design and deploy our latest software into embedded products designed by some of the worlds largest and best-known automotive and device manufacturers. 

Your day to day

  • Lead the systems engineering team, implementing systems engineering practices in customer projects and product development
  • Requirements elicitation, requirements breakdown, architecture design in Jama for customer projects, ensuring information is up-to-date and that Jama is being used by the team
  • Requirements: Working with clients to define requirements, defining internal requirements based on customer requirements, defining test cases to verify requirements, maintain traceability of these in Jama.
  • Help improve our Systems Engineering practices, including the automation of all process
  • Generate and provide documentation of our Systems Engineering practices and work products as expected by our clients.

Your background

  • Ability to lead a team to follow best systems engineering practices, and find and fill gaps in our processes
  • Previous experience of requirements management and verification/validation in a dynamic, regulated environment (e.g. automotive/aerospace)
  • A track record of implementing robust systems engineering in a lean way, minimising unnecessary overhead and maximising business value
  • An attitude to optimise and automate all aspects of work
  • Ability to work cross functionally in a kind and conscientious manner
  • Experience with Matlab and Simulink preferred
